A Student's Tricks to University Survival: An Amalgamated Resource -- Ruth Steinback
Yeah, its being written as I find stuff worth including. :)

Food

Impossible Quiche!
It truly is as awesome as it sounds.

Misc Ingredients: tomato, onion, mushroom, bacon, green pepper... (whatever you like)
Need:
- 2tbsp butter/marjarine
- 1 and a half cups of milk
- 8oz grated cheese (I tore up 3 slices of Kraft slicey cheese, it seemed to work)
- 3/4cup of Bisquick biscuit mix (this seems to be the magic bit)
- 3 eggs

Directions:
- Sprinkle misc ingredients and grated cheese on bottom of pie plate (I have a 25cm diameter Pyrex one that works perfectly - you may need a slightly bigger one if you're adding a lot of extra ingredients. Make sure whatever you use is oven safe!)
- Beat remaining ingredients until smooth and pour over other ingredients in pie pan
- Bake until knife inserted in centre comes out clean -- 425degrees first 10min, 375degrees approx 20min

- carve out a slice and eat, also reheats well (depending on what you stuck in it) its cool because you don't have to make the crust it just settles out on its own in an 'impossible' fashion.

French Toast :3
This would be my dad's recipe, its always been delicious for special occasions and remains my standard sleepover breakfast. I've tweaked it a tiny bit since going to university but its pretty much the same. Its really good to make if you have company over because it has very simple ingredients that you may actually have around and is filling enough to make a good brunch meal (or whatever meal you might want it for).

Need:
- bread [white or brown, whatever thickness you desire]
- eggs
- milk
- margarine
- measuring cup (or just a clear glass if you want to eyeball it)
Optional:
- maple syrup, salt, pepper, etc (my dad likes adding mustard powder, parsley and things), icing sugar

Ratio: 1 egg should get you three slices of french toast, calculate what you need from there

Directions:
- In the measuring cup break in however many eggs you're going to use
- Add an equal amount of milk to the egg you've got
- Add misc ingredients like a few shakes of salt/pepper/what have you to taste. I put in a dollop (about a small spoonful?) of maple syrup at this point, it makes it sweeter without being a sticky mess.
- Blend well until the mix seems smooth and is a bit frothy
- Pour into a plate and dip bread slices in briefly on each side just before you place them in a greased (margarine/butter) or non-stick pan.
- Stove should be on medium-low heat, that translates to about '4' on every stove I've used
- Cook until golden brown on each side, flipping to cook evenly
- Add margarine/butter, maple syrup, and a sprinkle of icing sugar if you want to be fancy and enjoy!

Honey Lemon Tea
Perfect for soothing sore throats and clearing sinus congestion, and quick to make!

Need:
- a mug
- a spoon
- water (and a way to heat it)
- lemon juice
- honey (I prefer liquid honey but the semi-solid stuff works fine too)

Directions:
- heat a just less than full mug of water in the microwave for just over a minute, until its as hot as you'd like it to be (alternatively use water from a kettle, that works too)
- add about 3 teaspoons of lemon juice and 3 teaspoons of honey for an average sized mug (this is not rocket science, though it'd be cool if it was, so don't worry about being too precise)
- taste (Carefully - don't burn yourself! You may need to wait for it to cool a bit before you can do this!)
- add more honey if its too bitter/sour
- add more lemon if its too bland/sweet
- once its perfectly to your taste, sip and relax~
